Best Way To Coney Island By Subway
Unless you want to sit on the train forever. My advice is to take the tunnel to the BQE which leads into the belt parkway and get off at I beleive exit 8? You will see the aquarium sign. It should take no longer then 20 minutes no traffic. Or the D train hop on at 5th avenue and 42nd street and take it straight to CI about 1 hour. From CI the aquarium is two blocks towards the left. Nathans is right on the corner when you exit the train. Tip for Nathans. Don't stand on the long Hot Dog line. When you enter Nathans you will see a service table for Kenny Rogers chicken. It is towards the left. They take hot dog orders, french fries you name it. I usually get the hamburger and take off the bun. Its grilled so its really good. If you walk along the boardwalk you will hit the aquarium as well. Bring lots of sun block and hat its hot!
Thanks for the response...I got it too late (i ended up going today). ....the hat suggestion would have been good...I am burned. The subway only took about 40 minutes....it was a good option for me. Anyway as for Roslin...he's great. I personally think he's the best skilled surgeon for bariatric surgery in manhattan...at least in the top 2 or 3. Yes he's very blunt...(read my review of him)...he's not a cuddley hold your hand...blow your nose kind of doctor...but I knew that before I went to my 1st consultation....all of his patients said the same thing. He's blunt, bu the best. I think the follow up care has been good. He's always listened to my concerns, I normally go in with a list...lol. I did have a different surgery then you did, and I spent a lot of time on line (on OH and www.duodenalswitch.com) researching how to eat post op, suppliments to take, and when something comes up, I turn there first (even before I call him). The DS community is very tight knit....so I don't know if we're in the same boat persay. Actually when I go for follow up, I've normally identified issues (or what I think are issues or questions) and possible treatments...lol. Like when I wanted to change my suppliment regime, I came to him with a new one I read about online from another DSer. I did notice that they were selling products in the office, they've never really pushed me to buy anything. They did ask me preop, if I needed any shakes or whatever, and I told them no, and they never pushed or bothered me again. I've read this forum long enough to know there are no perfect surgeons....you have to take both the good and the bad, and trust me ...you don't want the bad to be in the operating room. I was sad to see Dr. K leave, although I never actually interacted with her, I did find it comforting that there were 3 wells skilled DS/bariatric surgeons on call at the hospital. The office is still busy....I normally try to get a 1st apt. or an early apt. It seems it's less crowded then. Whose doing your follow up care now? Scott
