10 lb gain

Well today I went to the nuturion and excersice class at surgeons office today And had to get on the scale one more time before surgery. I GAINED 10 lbs since may 2nd. I was so depressed. Deanne the lady who works in the office was so nice she said thats ok sweetie you will be loosing before you know it, Don't even wory about it's ok, she made me feel a little better she said alot of people gain a little before surgery. So I'm not gonna sweat it. my doctors asst Marc is so Hot!!!! He can touch me anytime LOL.  I told him to make sure he doesn't call in on monday,As that is my day. I asked if I could get a dose of valume to take while I am waiting for two hours before my surgery and he said he will check with Dr caruanna. Because I guess I have to be tottally with it so I can fill out my release forms just prior to surgery.  I was told that doing a liquaid diet is not gonna do anything for me at this point. But it would be better to take this time to eat without out drinking and have smaller portions and be aware of chewwing food very well. So that is what I am going to do.And on Sunday I am gonna have only liquaids and milk of magnesia to help withLove theese smileys. Sheila

Sheila...I haven't seen Marc yet.  My appointment for that is July 10th.....I can't wait.  What time is your surgery?  Mine is at 10:30AM.  I have to be admitted by 8:30am.  I don't know how many are before me.  Now in my booklet of stuff from the office it said to eat a regular breakfast and lunch the day before and a light dinner.  Then the milk of magnesia about 6:00pm.  Is that the same info you got in your pamphlet and then they changed it at the meeting?  Also how long did the meeting last?  Was it a total group thing or were there individual time also?  Sorry for all the questions.  Terri

Teri, I was there for 3 hrs . there is only one person in front  or you. I would take the milk of magnesia a little earlier just to make sure you have a movment before your surgery. A girl was there with her freind who had wls 14 months ago and she said she took it twicw the day before just to make sure everything was out. I think that is a good idea to. It was a group thing the whole time,but you could ask as many questions as you need.Also be prepared to buy your vitimins on the day of your appt they are 23.99 they are the cheepest. They are chewable like tums kinda yucky because I don't like orange flavor. Any other questions just send me a message. Sheila

Sheila, The first time I met Marc was in the operating room...He was GA-GEOUS...Don't worry about the weight gain...I gained too with all my "last suppers" And don't worry about the surgery...I was petrified and you will find its over quick and you feel so motivated after it is all worth it :o)

I didn't have to do the MOM thing, but i know from my personal experience that sometimes it does take 2 doses. When I didn't go for 6 days post op, I took one dose then another one 6 hours later. How do you spell relief?

I meet Marc in the pre-op room before my surgery.  I had the exact impression.  He could have stayed and held my hand all three days I was in the hospital.   What a hunk he is.......  my 20yo was mad because she still has not gotten to see him, only has heard all the stories about how wonderful he looks...................lol.   Good luck to you.  You will be on the loosing side before you know it.   Sally
