Hi. I'm just starting this long jorney. I went to see Dr. James Sapala he was very nice. He invented the Sapala-Wood micropouch which leaves you with a stomach the size of a grape, and cannot strech with time so I'm a little scaptical about it. May be I should be having the regular bypass surgery? Please help.

I personally think that that is very cool.  Do you have a great deal of weight to lose?  Where in NY are you?  I can eat anything, and what I consider a lot of food.

Thanks for the reply. I am in Brooklyn. I have over a100 lb. to lose, but I'm a little worried about life post surgery. When did you have the surgery? How much can you eat, and what can you eat? How about dumping? Can you eat any sugar at all?

Wow ! That sounds great. What type of food can she eat? How long did it take her to lose all that weight?

I didn't use Dr. Sapala but had the micro-pouch done 10 months ago.  I am doing great - no problems/complications at all.  I eat my 4-6 ounces of food - take my time - follow the instructions I was given and feel great.  Hope that helps.
