Does anyone knowif you can eat Egg drop soup during the stage 1 bariatric diet?
Normally I would call my surgeon's nutritionist to make sure, but its the weekend and no one is at the office. I figure my second best choice is to ask here.
Does anyone know if Egg Drop soup is allowed in stage 1 of the post op bariatric (liquid) diet? I decided to try Wonton Soup from AndiCandy's suggestion. I got soem egg drop soup too mut Im unsure if I can have it. Maybe I can only have the broth but I wanted to make sure.
OH, and what kind of meat is it that they put inside the wontons? My mom is muslim so she doesnt eat pork, and we dont want to waste food. Anyone know if its pork or beef?
Ok, I'm not sure because I haven't had the surgery yet, just starting out. I've just come from visiting a friend who had lap band surgery this past week and she's on just liquid or clear broth. She told me she made a vegetable soup but just drinks the liquid only. She leaves any vegetable pieces out of the broth. As far as wonton's go , the restaurants make them w/ diff meats. There is one not too far from my job in mid Manhttan that makes vegetable, chicken, and pork wontons. Since I don't eat pork either I get the vegetable or chicken. Then on the other hand a block from my apt they chinese restaurants only use portk. It just depends on the restaurant and you just have to ask them.
Hi
how are you doing. nope no egg drop soup till you are on semi-soft solids. I think I started egg-drop soup in week 6 so take it slow. The longer you hold off on other food the more weight you will lose. remember your new pouch is healing and its all about getting better . so take it slow , no need to rush in due time you will eat more food just much less of it.
Welcome to the losing side. I had my rny march 13th , down 82 lbs so good luck
