Ok, so I'm alive...I'm in week 6 of my post-op diet.  (going for a fill on the 22nd)  I thought the BBQ chickie in the Farmer's Market looked awesome!  I bought some, as I have years past.  Must be too dry!  I couldn't breathe!!!!!  My chickie got stuck!!!  Well, I didn't keep it down!!!!! I think my body temp jumped to 7235905 degrees!  No one was here in case I passed out!  Not sure I'll try it like that again!  Post-op weeks 3 & 4 I did loads of chicken salad.  Guess if I try chickie again, I'll toss some light mayo in!  PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!  Little shaky right now...how will I know if I slipped my band???  I know we aren't supposed to vomit! (sorry about the visual) EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

O_O I'm glad you're okay.  For a second ther eI thought you were experiencing dumping syndrome from the barbecue sauve but when you mentioned the band it cleared it up. Call your surgeon on Monday and let him know. Unless you didn't didn't chew and just swallowed I think you're ok. maybe a a cool shower would help you calm down =/ im sorry i don't know what else to suggest, but I'm glad youre okay.

I think that's exactly what happened!  I didn't chew enough and didn't wait long enough between bites...OI VEY!  I did exactly that...shower that is!  Thank you!

Cheri, I'm  glad you are okay.  Spaz  LOL  what a visual that was.  But the main factor here is you are okay.  I guess you didn't chew enough and maybe was (what I like to call shoveling) eating way too fast for your pouch to keep up.  Glad to know you are okay though.Hang In There Big Hugs  Big Hug

Hey Cheri I had the very same problem The one thing that helped me was warm water.  Warm water will break the meat down and ease the pain.

You're a doll!  I wasn't sure if that would make it worse!  I guess  it couldn't get worse...lol  Thank you, Marie!

Yeah I really didn't believe it would help but it does.  I can't tolerate much chicken at all. I can tolerate steak though. The only chicken I can tolerate which seems to be very moist is Chicken Parmagiana.
