Plateaus------ They are so depressing

I know from reading other posts that it is normal to hit a plateau between three weeks and a month post op, but how long does it usually last.    It is so depressing to not see the scale move.  I will be one month post op on the 16th of this month.  I had lost 25 lbs within three weeks and have not lost any more since.   I get in my 2 shakes a day.  I am only having about 3-4 oz total at a meal for food.  I love to drink my water and usually have no problem geting in an average of 50 oz.  I am walking a mile 3-4 times a week.  I have not been cleared to do any other type of exercise yet.  I go back to see the surgeon the end of the month for my 6week check up.   Please tell me that this should be over soon.  Any suggestions to get the scale moving would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks,  Sally

Sally, I feel so much better...I am five weeks post-op and lost weight quickly the first 3 weeks...now I am at a stand still...so, don't feel like the lone ranger! Rosemary

Sally, Hun remember we lose weight and then out bodies catch up, you have to give your body time to adjust to the quick weight loss. I know for me when I was not losing weight I was losing inches so did you measure yourself before surgery? If you did I would check it again and you will see a change I am sure!  It seems to be the way our bodies lose, some weight and then some inches. Hang in there hun and keep doing the righ things, you weight will start to move down again soon! ~hugs~

My plateau lasted 5 weeks It started week 5 thru 10 then after that, it just fell off fast. You have to give your body time to catch up with the change.
