~*~ Where's YOUR Port?~*~

Happy Monday to all who peek at this post   I have a question for Banders... Where'd your doc place your port?  There's a lady at work who has 2 sisters.  Both had lapband surgery   (and have hit their goals).  Their ports are off to their sides.  Kinda of below the lowest rib on the cage.  The reason I'm asking is because I expected, from knowing that and from all of the diagrams I've seen, that mine would be placed similarly!  Mine is almost smack dab in front of my tummie.  a lil, to the right, but that's it.  My underwires from my bra poke it when I bend (especially while gardening).  Now that I'm pretty well healed it isn't bothering me as much, but early on  ...weee-o! Hi there. New here, but mine is where yours is. I'm 2 weeks Post op and mine still bothers me.

Mine is about 2 inches the left and 2 inches up from my belly button (about where you described you thought it would be)  If you look on Lapbandtalk.com, you'll see that a lot of other people have the same issue as you do (underwire bra, etc.)  Don't quite know why doctors do that, probably because most of them are men!  

HAHA!  No doubt!!!! 

Hmm, I'm hoping as time passes I won't feel it when I bend over!  LOL 

Hello my long lost sister.  MIne is right in the middle of my tummy higher up...Mine bothers me very little right now...when I am working out I feel it more, lol

O~M~G!  We are freaks!  LOL      Sounds like the same placement!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
