Reminder for Long Islanders

Hiya, Just a quick reminder that I am trying to form a WLS support/friendship group that will meet next Tuesday, 5/15 @ 7:00pm in the back room of Panera on Sunrise Highway in Bohemia. Please don't forget to purchase your food or drinks and bring to the back room. (No purchase is required, I just would prefer if you'll be getting something to come in with it.) So far I've gotten about 12 RSVP's. The room holds up to 24 so don't be shy you Long Island lurkers! I was thinking of a semi-formal type setting. We can start with an introduction then share some protein suggestions, and wow moments. If anybody has read an interesting article or website that they wanted to share copies of, feel free to bring some. My hope is that this will help inspire us to continue this journey as successful as possible. And hey, one can never have too many friends, right? There is way tooooo much ignorance about this surgery and the more WLS people I meet the better I feel. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm excited about meeting you all. Hi Maryellen. I have it marked on my calender. It will be so nice to meet everyone. I'm looking foward to it but am a little nervous. I'm still not a social butterfly........yet. I will definetly purchase a little something, after all we are using the back room. We should try a little to make it worth their while. Talk to you soon.
