I had surgery on 3/8 and am just noticing that i have developed bruises all over. Since I haven't been in any wrestling matches lately i'm wondering why i am developing these. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Meredith. Have you had your labs done recently. It could very well be an iron deficiency, but of course I am not a Dr. It can do no harm by just calling his office and asking. Good Luck. Make sure you follow through. Are the bruises on your tummy only? If they are then chances are it is just from the trauma from surgery.

I can't help you there, but I would say just to be cautious call the Dr's office....rather be safe than sorry!!! Nicole

After all 3 of my surgerys I brused easily, they said it was because of the shots for blood thinner that I received.

Were you given heprin injections while you were in the hospital? If so that could explain the bruising. Either way I would contact the surgeons office.

Hi, We have the same surgeon. It sounds like some sort of deficiency and/or anemia which could be caused by low iron, vit b 6 and vit b12. Do you take your chewable multi vit 2x day? I do centrum chewables and they are doable for me! Its best to go see your PCP to get the labs run to see if they see anything! Good luck and be well.
