Medications considered safe after surgery?

Only two weeks post op and Jessica ended up with a horrible sinus infection so we went to our primary physicans office on Friday for treatment. The Nurse Practitioner we saw was excellent and gave a lot of thought into what kind of antibiotic to put Jessica on because of her recent surgery. She wanted to make it sure it would clear up the infection but not be harmful to the pouch. I had taken a list which I printed off a website regarding what medications we can and can not take after surgery, but when she looked at it she said it was very outdated (some of the medications on the list have been removed from the market). The Nurse Practitioner asked if I could try to get a more recent updated list so they can scan it into our patient files (their office is completely computerized) so that anyone who sees myself or Jessica can reference the list. We do not go back to the surgeons office for another month to ask them for one. I was wondering if anyone has a recent list? The NP assured us that she will always take the time to looks things up if there is ever a question about a medication, but thought the list could be helpful as a quick reference and did remind us to take charge of our own health and know what medications are safe for our pouch. She said not every physican out there has enough knowledge or wants to take the time to do this for WLS patients. I have looked on line and can't find any type of information other then the origional list I had found. Thank you. Sally
