Discouraged...I feel like this is not working
Hi everyone,
Just a little bummed out. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and I do not know if it is me or I am not being patient enough. I have only lost 10 pounds but 24 3/4 inches all over. I know that is good but I think I am still not losing fast enough. I have had a PERFECT recovery. I can eat almost anything in stage 3 which is really too soon. But the stage 2 is just not working for me. I do feel GREAT but not happy with weight loss. What am I doing wrong?
What should I eat to speed up the weight loss. More protein??
Kim
I haven't had surgery yet so I don't know what is normal, but I have read that there really isn't a "norm" and that everyone loses differently. 10lbs is alot, remember before you had surgery I'm sure 10lbs then and you would have been on cloud nine...well you should be now too your losing... give yourself a big ol' hug cause your on your way now girl!!! Sorry I couldn't help more but I'm here for you and I think 10lbs in 2 weeks is an AMAZING accomplishment!

Hi Kim, congrats on the surgery and your weight loss. Just follow your docs directions and the weight will fall off. We all loose at our own rates...Dont rush things , they will happen in their own time. Our bodies are all different and respond to this change differently. Just stay positive and follow the program. You will see the pounds disapear....Hang in there...

Kim -
You will be fine. I also had a perfect recovery and at my 3 week appt. I had only lost 12 lbs. Sometimes it takes a while for our bodies to catch on and get started. From experience I can tell you there's really nothing you can do to make it faster. I made myself crazy trying all kinds of things but in the first six months your body will just lose when it is ready. The most important thing is to follow your Dr's instructions. If you eat and drink as prescribed, it WILL come off (unfortunately not as fast as we'd like****ep telling myself there is no way I can't lose because I am eating so much less. The first few weeks are really hard. Before you know it, you will be celebrating your century mark. It gets a lot easier after the first month or so, I promise!!
HUGS,
