Just beginning the process

Judy, It all depends on your Dr. and the program. Everyone had different requirements. I am going to Dr. O'Malley in Rochester. I went to the informationsl seminar on Sept. 28, 2006 and my surgery is scheduled for May 7th. Hope that helps some. Congratulations on starting your journey!! Betsy

It depends on your surgeon, your insurance company, and OR availability. I know I walked in to my surgeon for a 2nd opinion in the middle of december and had my surgery by the middle of feb. They actually wanted to do it sooner, but I pushed it off, a couple of weeks. My surgeons office sent in my paper work promptly, they scheduled me before I got insurance approval, and my insurance company approved me within 2 business days, it made the process go quickly. In addition since my surgeon was suppose to be a 2nd opinion, I already had a Nut evaluations, and some of my pretesting done. Scott

Judy ANYTHING is possible! I started in January 2007 and my surgery is the 24th in about a week!

Hi Judy, Every case is different, it all depends on your pre-ops and results, your surgeons schedule, your insurance, it all depends, for some it's a quick turnaround but for others it takes a while. I have a co-worker who went though all her Pre-ops and her insurance denied her claim, now she's reissuing everything and we are hoping for the best. Good luck, make sure you do everything that needs to get done, ask your surgeon how soon you can have your surgery after all your required tests are done. Hi Judy, I noticed that you have the same Dr that I am going to soon. I am just starting this myself. However a friend of mine started with Synergy in March and she has her surgery date already (4/27). (approved) I think alot of to depends on how fast your Insurance comp responds too. I think my friend had Ind Health. If I was a betting woman I would say by the end of May! Hope that helps! Debi

Your seeing the same doctor I am. Right now I know they are scheduling for the second week of may. I am waiting to hear from my insurance company everything was submitted on friday so I should know something wed at the lastest [I have independent health]. When is your consultation??
