Has anyone had wls with Dr. Brathwait

Hi I am looking into lapban surgury and Dr. Brathwait was reccommended by a friend who had gastric I would love to hear from anyone who is working with his office or had surgury with him. I am so nervous. Thanks.

Lisa all i can say that he is a wonderful doctor i has my surgery with him on 1/3/06. I have no promblems with him at all I have no promblems with any foods, My surgery was a textbook surgery i had very little pain. Had my surgery with him on tuesday came home on thursday husband went back to work on friday. I didnt need my husband I had little pain. I didnt take any of my pain meds at all. Any other question dont hesitate to ask, I had lap rny surgery I know 2 of my friends are doing the lap band with him now. Michele

He's a wonderful doctor with a great staff. I had zero complications and the nursing staff at the hospital was equally as caring. Did not even need pain meds when I came home. Now....if only I can drop some weight!

I don't recommend Dr. Brathwaitte. I didn't find him to be very personable and was basically forgotten about by his staff and went elsewhere. If you want to be treated like just another number continue with Dr. B. I had the surgery with Dr. Ahmad at Mather Memorial Hospital. I would recommend Dr. Ahmad, he's had NO fatalities, Dr. B had someone die on him. If you don't believe me, ask him.
