Hi everyone,
I wish everyone on OH has a wonderful easter! I hope the easter bunny is nice to youguys!(stay away from the jelly beans!)
I havent been online all that much b/c my son has off for spring break from school for a week and a half. Dennis is home b/c he took off work to help after my surgery last week. I am feeling alright but since they took zelnorm off the market I have been having some poopy problems. I have an appt w/the GI doctor next week to figure out what else I can do to help my bowels move along. It just stinks b/c the zelnorm was one of the only pills (besides zolfran) that actually help in anyway. (So what if I will have a heart attack FDA at least I am not full of poopy poo!
) Hopefully time will clear up some problems.
Can I remind everyone how annoying doctors are. I have been getting dizzy and I know my anema is most likely acting up. (I was suppose to do another infusion but then had to have surgery) I did the mistake of telling the hemotoligst on the phone I was alittle nauseous(what else is new w/me!) and she told me to call my surgeon/my pcp or go the hospital. Well my pcp is not around but his partner said that I probably need a blood test(Duh) and there is only a couple of places to go for that 1-hemotolgist 2-hospital. I told him I called the dr. weiss and she told me to call them or the surgeon. So he said call the surgeon then(I always end up being my surgeons problem it seems) Well I told the pcp that the surgeon is on a beach in florida for the past week. So he said go to the hospital and get the tests there and be checked out by a surgeon. Yeah, no thanks. Stupid doctors just want to make me some one elses problem and it seems like no one wants to be responsible for doing me in! So now I have to play the game where I see the surgeon this friday, he pokes me and he yells in his hospital voice(that is what he calls it when he gets loud)"when did I move my bowels last b/c he feels all the poo in me"(Mind you he also always giggles when I say poopy, so mature) and gives me a rx for blood work, they come back ****ty, they fax it over to my pcp, who then faxes it over to the hemotolgist who then tells me to make an appt for some infusions. This is what will happen b/c this is what always happens, it's so stupid and a big waste of time. This is what I have to do if I dont sit in the hospital doing this all. Just so darn frustrating.
Anyway, all that junk aside everything is well over here. My son is driving me and my husband a little crazy but that is expected! For the love of me I cannot find a bunny cut out decoration anywhere! I find a million and one easter eggs but no bunny! I make my poor husband look in every store to find one. He comes home w/some bible w/a cross cut out to make me happy b/c it isn't an egg, I told him" yeah that doesnt look like an easter bunny to me." Ha-Ha.

I was out of the USA for over 2 weeks (went to Israel!) so I missed your surgery; glad to hear you got thru it and are doing okay, less the poopy issue!
I'm on a fairly new medicine called Amitiza for the poopy issue. It's totally different from Zelnorm in how it works but it's worth a try. I have what I call "limited success" using it but hey, it's far better than it was before!! It's taken twice a day and I didn't have any side effects, thankfully!
