Will I be o.k. to not look out of place at a wedding- it is exactly a month after surgery. My thought is to order salmon and when no one is looking, put most of it on my husbands plate!!! Any other ideas- or is it just too soon. jackie
Hi there. I had my cousins wedding 3 weeks after my surgery. I just asked the waiter to give me some chicken broth, some mashed potatos and and ricotta cheese lol... skipped the solids....
I then took a pic of my plate and told my cousin im telling everyone he was cheap at his wedding and this is what he served as the main meal.........lol
Enjoy.

I was a bit more pro-active i too had a wedding 4-5 weeks out, I called up the wedding hall, explained my situation and what i could and coudln't have and my meal was waiting for me when i got there, I didn't off load on to my husbands plate i just left over what i didn't want to eat. I don't answer to anyone else, it's just not my style. ANDI
Everyone is different. You will have to gauge yourself by then to see what you have been tolerating. I was so desperate to eat something that I cheated and made myself mashed potatoes by the 2nd week. The yogurt, jello and broth was wearing out its welcome by then. If you can tolerate some mashed potatoes and apple sauce by 4th week, you may be able to handle the salmon as long as its moist. I tried to eat a chicken leg by the 4th week and because it was dry (i think) I could not keep it down. You don't want to have an episode when you are at a wedding. Take it slow and easy. Have fun!!
