I am having that problem right now but I only had my surgery on 2/23 and have lost 20 lbs, I don't know if that's what the problem is. I stopped taking the pill right after the surgery because i was afraid to swallow it (yes, I know it's tiny but i was nervous) and i got my period a few days later and not since then. I'm really hoping it has something to do with the WL or going off the pill. So I'm hoping this is a common thing, because I don't think it's the best time to get pregnant right now!

yes, i had surgery on 2/17 and lost 38lbs so far and have not had a period since surgery....of course i had it during the surgery. what are you going to do? i'm debating whether or not to go back on the pill. doc said to get off of it to prevent blood clots. what do you think?

I am going to start using the nuva ring once I finally do get my period and can start using it. I feel like it's on the verge of coming but not quite there, I can't even say I've had spotting, though I have had something. I keep thinking maybe I'm just used to being regular because of the pill and I've been on it for so long. Congrats on the weight loss.

Hi, Yes that happened to me a couple of times where I went months and months w/out a period. I still am having issues with that b/c I only getting spotting now (which is better than nothing I guess). I think once your body/nutrition starts to stablize, problems like that go away. Be well.

How timely a post! My menstrual cycle has completely run amuck! I know that estrogen is stored in fat cells, so when fat cells shrink, they release estrogen, which surely affects the regularity of the menstrual cycle. Wierd though, isn't it? Hugs, Amy

Here's the thing about that...My period has been very wonky since surgery, but that's not to say I haven't gotten it. I just haven't gotten it when I've expected to, and I have gotten it when I wasn't expecting it! When I do, it's meaner than ever. Can't win for losing.... Or can you? xoxo Amy

Oh man....I never even given that any thought. My date is April 24th. My worry was please dont come week of surgery. I wasnt sure how they go about surgery if I was having my period. Well I have it now, so that might mean I wont get it for a while?? That would be great, I guess the only bad thing is you dont know when it will come.
