?? on my EGD

I had the EGD done today..the stricture was closed to an 8. My first question is is that really small? and my 2nd question is they did a biopsy, which I wasn't aware he was going to do. Is this normal? I have an appt with him on the 18th, but I was hoping to get some information from you guys. He wasn't around right after the procedure was done, he headed right to surgery, so I wasn't able to ask him these questions.

Hi .. I had the same question March 20 ,,... Yes its normal to them to do the biopsy and when they gave me the discharge paper they told me to make an appointment for 2 weeks .. But I was very nervous so I called a week later and the doctor told me that everything was fine and they didnt see nothing wrong and if they would see something they would tell me the same day I went I didnt have to go to the 2 weeks appointment because they will send the report to my surgeon office ... Its normal be nervous I was scare they find something wrong but they didnt so dont be nervous and good luck
