How old is your daughter? My dd and I go into the city a few times a year for her audioplogy appts. Some great things to see: Macy's Empire State Bldg (1 block from Macy's) Times Square Grand Central Station Restaurant- Mars 2112- if dd is under age 15 Museum of Natural History (Phenominal!) Central Park Zoo Intrepid See Air and Space Museum Museum of Modern Art Museum of Sex (yep, totally bizarre and not for anyone under 21!) Childrens Museum (iff dd is 10 or under) ToysRUs Flagship Store in Times Square FAO Schwarz Statue of Liberty Statten Island Ferry (this is FREE and will take you past the Statue, you will disembark and re-embark- nice way to spend an hour or so on a balmy day) American Indian Museum Oh! Almost forgot- the FIRE ZONE! This is an amazingly interactive and wonderful place to visit for anyone, young or old, but those 16 and under will find it especially informative. I love it whenever we go! Hosted by the FDNY SONY Wonderlab- hands-on awesome FREE place to go- requires reservations google it for the number Hope this helps! I know there are many other places we've been to, but those come to memory quicky. If you need a place to stay, the Murray Hill Comfort Inn is smack in the middle of all those in Mid-town Manhattan, and the staff there is WONDERFUL.

depending on your daughters age dont forget to take her to ground zero... everyone should go there at least once...so we never forget.
