Date moved

Today I got a call from Dr. Kim's office and I was told that Dr. Kim is having some sort of surgery on his hand and that my surgery has been moved from April 2nd to May 2nd. I was so upset. Just about 2 weeks left and BOOM, another month. *sigh* I guess this gives me more time to lose more weight. BTW, HI EVERYONE!

Hi Ying, I am sorry to hear about your delay. Right before my surgery, I got a call that we needed to reschedule. It was only a few days later but I was so set on the date, I was devastated! Your time will come and before you know it you'll be a post op, consoling another pre-op in the same situation! Hang in there! Amy

Hi Ying, I am so sorry to hear that your date was changed. I know how frustrating the waiting can be. I HATE IT... LOL! April 26th seems so far away to me! Sorry to hear that...seems like they would have at least gave you the option of going with another surgeon to stay close to your orginal date.

Wow sorry to hear that, what kind of sergery is dr kim having, hope his hand will be ok. Well at least we will prob see each other in the recovery room. Good luck

I really feel that everything happens for a reason. You have the right attitude about how now you can concentratr on losing more weght before WLS. It can only help. It's frustrating, but it also beyond your control, so getting upset over it will not help all the way around. Time will go fast...you'll see...and WE are not going anywhere. Take Care.

Hi Ying, I was told today that my surgery (scheduled for April 4th) was canceled due to Dr. Kim's surgery....I was upset and really irked that no one from his office bothered to call me. I found out from a girl at the hospital when I called to see about my pre-op testing....How did you find out your new date, because I have been told nothing... I am scared. I got so close, like you said more time to lose, but I was really disappointed too. Hope I didn't ramble too much, just nice to find someone who knows what is going on. Take Care, NoraLynn

Hi NOralynn. I actually got a call from I think Deb. It irks me too about the date change. So close, so far. You should try and call the office and see if your date has been changed. I do recall them saying there are a few surgeries that are going to be postphoned.
