pre/post op medifast shakes

Anyone buy the medifast shakes for the pre and post op liquid diet? I just spent 350.00!!!! I was shocked at the cost but my doctor HIGHLY RECOMMENDED it. Will this be covered by insurance? I also had to pay the nutritionist and psychiatrist out of pocket too. This is getting very expensive but I am sure it will be worth it in the long run. Anyone have any suggestions for a cheaper liquid shake as I might return these if I can find one. Thanks....annette

I only buy medifast from e-bay now its so much cheaper! I too am going to be on the medifast and went to e-bay and got a 2 month supply for 150.00!! My insurance does not cover that what so ever... BUt does cover my psychiatrist exam and nutriionist.. I would check e-bay...

I agree with the above post. I bought Medifast shakes on e bay as well for a fraction of the cost. Just be sure you check the shipping rates----some sellers can be outragious!!! The only flavor I really liked was the Mocha; but I found they never really satisfied me. I wish you well. Barbara
