Hiatal Hernia

Ok so I went for my endoscopy today. It was not bad at all. I was a little nervous but it was smooth. Dr Singh said everthing looks good except I have a hernia. No big deal really, I don't even have any symptoms so I'm not worried. I figure he'll take care of it in surgery if its a problem. I planned to go to work after the procedure, however I was sooooooooo loopy after they woke me up! I came home and slept for 2 hrs, then couldn't remember anything. Thank god my mother was with me and heard the instructions because, although my mother said I was sitting in front of the nurse listening to him, I have no recollection of it! I don't even remember putting my clothes back on!! Isn't that horrible... haha, but I did warn them that I have difficulty waking from anestesia. Oh well, one more thing out of the way. 13 more days to go to join the losers bench. I can't wait! Janet

They discovered that I had a hiatal hernia too when I had my pre-op endoscopy. It was nothing that stopped me from having the surgery though. Be careful for ulcers after the surgery however. And best of luck to you!

Janet, Glad it all went well hun and I am sure it can be taken care of at surgery. I know that crazy feeling after, my hubby said I was all smiles and it felt like I had been drinking. well then about 2 hrs later I felt the hang over as well It was not at all really that bad, the worse for me was the IV....EKKKKK Congrats on moving another step closer to the big day! Hi Janet, Congrats for getting that out of the way. I had a hernia repair during my surgery. I guess obesity increases our chances for them. Soon you'll be jumping all around the losers bench and you won't have to worry about it anymore! Hugs, Amy
