Hi everyone, Sorry its been so long since I have posted. Well it's been a month since Dad died, and we are all doing just fine, I think about him alot and I talk to him every day and I know he is with me. I have been putting in long hours at work, being new to working for myself, I have clients in the mornings and then huge spaces in the middle of the days and then clients in the evenings, and with gas prices I decided to just stay there and wait till next client comes in instead of coming home in between, sometimes I meet my Mom or daughter for lunch or something. But business is getting better for me, it is starting to pick up and have had several new people call this week and make appointments with me. I am so glad things are starting to work out. My oldest daughter started working where I am at about 3 weeks ago as a hairdresser, it is not going so well for her and the other girl yet, they didn't have clientele so its very hard for them, but hopefully some of my clients will check them out. As far as my RNY goes, everything seems to be great, having a few small issues, such as dizzy spells ( NUT says probably dehydration) doesnt surprise me I hate water and it is so hard to get in, but today so far I have gotten in 48 oz, so that is real good for me, and of course decaf coffee all day. I am down 114 pounds and am basically a size 6 now, I don't really need or want to lose any more, except for my belly fat that is still trying to hang on for dear life. I had a great couple of WOW moments this week, 2 people that know me and have seen me from time to time since surgery, didn't know me, one of them asked me the other day, Do I know you? and I giggled and said yes you do, and her mouth just dropped, they other one I spoke to said hello how are you doing and she didn't realize who I was until she looked at my daughter and figured it out from there. I can walk by people that I really don't want to talk to and they don't even take a second glance cause they don't know who I am, Its kinda funny actually. I am going to have my daughter take some new pics of me now and get them posted asap. But have to do it on a NON bloat day. Do any of you have that problem? I bloat alot, and can physically see it, look like I am pregnant sometimes, and no I am not, if I am I will be very rich, LOL. Anyway one day I'll bloat the next look nice and skinny. My youngest daughter 19 has decided to make an appointment and just talk to the surgeon, she hasnt made a decision yet, just wants to get the ball rolling so that if she decides to go ahead then hopefully she can get it done after college is out and heal up over the summer before next semester. She is looking into Lap RNY. Hopefully I can turn her on to this forum and maybe a forum in her age group if there is one out here. Mom is doing fantastic, she is down about 80 lbs. Its funny to see the changes in someone else as it happens, like all of a sudden her belly is disappearing, she looks awesome and feels awesome too. Anyway I have kept you all long enough with my jabbering, I hope you are all doing very well, I miss you all, and will post when I can. Good luck to all the newbies!!!!!!!!! Shannon Arnold 257/143/ 130??? don't know if I need to change my personal goal or not, Dr.s goal was 150 and I have surpassed that. I feel great right where I am at right now.

Hi Shannon! Glad to hear that you're doing okay. Keep up the good work as far as eating goes and getting in your water. I sometimes have the same problem: not getting enough water in. Well lately anyway. I am sually Miss Water and make sure everyone around me has gotten their water in, pre-op, post-op, no-op. They have a problem with a headache and the first thing I say is, "Have you had enough water today?" They have a stomach ache and the first thing I say is, "Have you had enough water today?" So, water is always on my mind. However, lately, I've been drinking more decaf coffee and 100% juice, so I still get enough water, but I'm branching out. Good to hear that your mom is doing well, too! Tell her to keep up the good work. Water, water, water and walk, walk, walk and protein, protein protein. She knows that, though. Maybe I'll see you soon at the support group or around town. Hey, where is your shop? Jen Halliday
