ELLIS HOSPITAL AND MVP INSURANCE ?'S
rae:
I think I have posted this before (1-2x) maybe to you or others, but thre is no real way to know a insurers criteria other than calling YOUR insurance company and YOUR polciy because MY MVP vs YOUR MVP may be different based on our employers plan, riders, exclusions, also plans change from time to time so what was ok for me a few yrs ago may of changed months ago or yrs ago. The ONLY way to know what is YOUR criteria is to find out and get it in writing.
I did hear some MVP's maynot be paying for the band, but not all.Have you gotten your policy on bariatric surgery exclusions and criteria? What does it say?
This should save you worry, rumination, or asking us who can not tell you anything for certain. *My opinion as and insured person knowing policy as well as a provider who works with insurance companies*

Hi Rae,
I used Ellis Hospital (Dr. Terrance Clarke). I had my surgery in November and have been very happy with the results.
I started at 238lbs and am now down to 174 in just 4 months. The staff at Ellis were wonderful and very helpful. I did not have MVP I had BCBS and my surgery was covered 100%. If you have anymore questions on Ellis feel free to e-mail me. [email protected]
Have a great day,
Diana
