I attended the 3/6 info session given by Ren in NYC... I have an appt with Huberman on 3/22... Although I was quite impressed by Ren, I'd like to go with Fielding. I had an appt on Monday 3/12 for my physical, blood work, etc. and stopped to get my nails done because I had so much time to kill... well the girl took FOREVER to the point that the doctor wouldn't see me after being 15 minutes late... I actually cried in the car because I'm determined to check off these items one by one... now I have to go back for that on 3/19... i just want to get this done so badly already. I flew to San Fran today and was WEDGED into the seat... the little man next to me kept putting his arm down very hard on the arm rest which was DIGGING into my thigh! the seat belt buckle was stretched as far as it would go... i couldn't "see" the dials to turn the volume up/down for the movie I was watching because my body was in the way! I need this lap band desperately! So I just ordered room service - new england clam chowder, small house salad (I wanted to taste the candied walnuts) and a shrimp cobb salad... the room service guy says, "Two people?" Meanwhile I'm thinking aren't I being good getting salads!

Hi Rachelle -- My DH and I are both using Fielding. We have our appt with him on 3/21 (WED!!!) We've had the psych, been to the nut, H&P, bloods, etc. Our Dr. will give us clearance after a pulmonary on 4/24 (he is a pulmonologist) and I'm assuming we'll also need cardiac clearance (pretty standard). I'm also having a hernia correction so I might need some gastro info. Not sure if we will get the date or just info on what else we need to do before our date to "set the date." We're in his newer program for folks living in the Hudson Valley so all of my pre-op stuff has been in Middletown, NY. The surgery is at NYUMC and that is about 2 hours for us (I'm planning an NYC hotel just in case).

Hi Susan. How exciting it must be to have your consult so near! Are you guys having LapBand or RNY? I've got the Nutritionist appt. coming up this Friday. Do they give you the consult appt. at the Nut. appt? I just wasn't sure of the time frame. Did the nurse tel you all the testing you need to get done? I know I will need clearance from my cardiologist, but I'm not sure what else I will need to do. Rachelle
