Does anyone have any opinions on Dr. O'Malley of Rochester?

I am brand new to this sight...A friend who had the surgery let me know about it.Has anyone had the Surgery from Highland Health in Rochester? I would just like to get some opinions of others who had the Bypass Surgery? Thank You!

I do not know anything personally but have heard wonderful things about Dr. O'Malley. If you go onto yahoo groups there is a WLS support group for Rochester and one for Buffalo that you can join. I know there are many members of those groups who have had their surgery with him and would be willing to share their stories. Just another way of getting information besides this wonderful forum which has been a blessing to me personally. Good luck to you.

Larry, A member of my support group in Syracuse had surgery from O'Malley about 3 weeks ago now. SHe is very pleased. Except for the support group there being so large and inpersonal. Best of luck Molly

good and to the point, i had surgery monday and home wednesday

I had Dr. O'Malley January 24th. The thing is that I only personally spoke to Dr. O'Malley twice. He did a great job I have no complaints but it was a bit impersonal for me. He didn't come in and check on me after the surgery, a Doc that works with him did. But in terms of doing it well, he did great. If you are looking for a more personal relationship with a doctor, i didn't get that feeling from him.
