Hi i am new here and i live in Canada. I am going to the states for my surgery and i am hoping to talk to some of Dr Graber's patients. Dr. Graber performed my surgery Sept. 14, 2006. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have. I chose Dr. Graber because several of my friends and co-workers had him as their surgeon. He provided comprehensive information prior to surgery and answered all of my questions. When I had my surgery, he had already performed more than 700 laproscopic procedures. He said that he did have some complications with hernias in his earliest surgeries, but modified his technique 2-3 years ago to reduce the risk. I was particularly impressed with his follow-up in the hospital. He and his staff made frequent rounds to check my status. It was comforting to know that they were so diligent in monitoring my recovery during the early post-op hours. He's not a warm & fuzzy kind of person - just very straight forward and easy to understand. I've lost 75 pounds so far with only 30 pounds left to reach my personal goal. His office staff is very responsive. I called one Thursday afternoon worried because my energy level had dropped and my mental accuity wasn't quite right. The nurse sent me immediately to the lab for blood work and within 24 hours I found out that my iron levels had dropped and I just needed to take some extra iron. Best of luck to you, Cassie
