Hello, I have Aetna and they are willing to pay for excision, excessive skin and subcutaneous tissue (including lipectomy); abdomen abdominoplasty. My surgeon is saying that I still have to pay something for the tummy tuck because the denied Rhytidectomy of bilateral hips. What does bilateral hips have to do with the tummy tuck. My schedule surgery date is on March 22, 2007 and I need more information before then so that I'll know whether its neccessary to pay addition money for this procedure. Please help if you have any info. Thanks, Chantell

Most insurances pay for a PANNICULECTOMY (excision of the pannus skin/fat flap only) no muscle tightening. A TT is a moer extensive procedure and costs 3-4K more usually than a Panni removal. Ask your PS what the difference is in cost to you. Hugs Jamie
