I had my Psych Eval
I had my Psych Eval on Tuesday and I am good to go! He was very nice.
My appt. was for 9:30 am, so me and Chris drove into the city, got there about 8:30 am (took 1 1/2 hours with traffic), went for breakfast, I was very calm.
The paperwork took about 1/2 hour and me and the Dr. talked for about 40 minutes. He told me he thought I was a good candidate for surgery and that he believes I will be quite successful.
Next step is the Nutritionist appointment. I called yesterday morning and my appt. is for March 23. That should be enough time (2 weeks) for my PCP to put together my referral letter and the documentation I need to my visit with the NUT.

It is a start. With all of the setbacks I have had with my health, I'm just glad to be back in the game again.
I owe it to all of the friends I have made here. You guys really keep me going. Between the NY Board and the GLBT Board, my cup overflows with support. If find the support here simply amazing.
We decided on January or February 2008 for our Civil Union. We decided that this will give me enough time to plan the ceremony and celebration and also have surgery. If all goes well, I should be well on my way to becoming a healthier (and thinner) bride.
I will definitely keep you guys posted. This is all so exciting for me!

Hey you,
Looks like you are on your way!! Wishing you nothing but the best.
Take care and be well.
ps love your surgeon, he is awesome

Thanks Tavia. I haven't met the surgeon yet. When I went to the seminar, Dr. Ren did it. But I've read wonderful things about him and he's very reputable. I'll set up my consult with him after I see the Nutritionist.
My only concern with Dr. Fielding is that he will try to talk me out of RNY. You know he is the Lap Band King...LOL. I just know that the Lap Band is not right for me. But they do both types of surgery there, so I'm sure he will do the surgery that I think is best for me.
Oh, BTW, love the tofu noodles. Yummy.
