Hi All, I know I haven't posted in a super long time, but no time like the present right? I am now exactly 1 year and 8 months post op from my Gastric Bypass and I have to be at the hospital in 2 hours for my tummy tuck! I am down 104lbs since surgery, I was down more at one point, but I was sick and have since gained about 10lbs back, which my WLS surgeon confirmed was just fine! And honestly, I would rather be that 10lbs heavier vs sick again! I am super anxious at this point despite the Valium I took last night and can't fall back to sleep, and yes it really is 3:45am! Anyone else who have had PS been this anxious? They say it's normal but you always want to know how everyone else feels! I feel confident in my choice of surgeons (she is great and I love her office staff) just as I did before my Gastric Bypass, but I just want it over and done with! I just needed to vent, thanks for listening! I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong, it seems like everyone is! My love to everyone! Ilyssa

Hi Ilyssa, Having surgery is a big deal and it makes perfect sense that you are feeling anxious, but it sounds like you're in excellent hands and that should be very reassuring to you. It's hard to submit yourself totally to somebody else's care, and I think that's the scariest part of surgery-the lack of control. Just focus on the outcome, how good it will feels to have pretty abs...do a lot of deep breathing and you will be fine. Congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome! Let us know how you're feeling when you get home! Hugs, Amy

Seems difficult to improve on perfection but I'm sure you will feel so much better on the other side of your TT? You have waited a long time for this and I'm wishing you all the best Ilyssa! Your the best! Kenny

Hi All! Well I am home and it's been 3 days since surgery and I am doing really well! The nerves finally went away and I am just doing great! Walking a bit hunched over and a bit swollen, but other than that, GREAT! I am getting up and down on my own, changing clothes on my own, doing most everything on my own! It's wonderful and I can't wait to see the doctor tomorrow to have her take the binder off! I know a lot of people do it on their own to see how they look and take pictures, but I have decided not to! I know what I used to look like and that is enough for me! Thank you everyone for your love and support I really do feel great! AND btw, the my doctor removed 6 1/2lbs of skin alone! WOO HOO! THANKS! Ilyssa!
