mad at my self
I had the nutri apt. and i gained 3 pounds! this was my first visit besides the nutri seminar.. I have no clue how i gained that much.. I have been fallowing the diet that she gave me. I have cut down to 1 can of pop and then i feel bad after wards becuse i know that i shouldnt have it.. (Its now been 4 days with out pop). I really want to have this surgery to save my life..Iam now worried about lossing that 3 pounds!! I know my body is not use to having such good food..
How did everybody else go tho. this change?? any suggestions?? or am i just being to hard on my self??
Thanks for letting me vent.

It happens to the best of us. Over Christmas I gained 4 pounds. The doctor yelled at me and threatened not do my surgery unless I lost that 4 and another 10 before hand. I started on the all liquid diet and lost 15lbs in just about 2 weeks. It was tough but it worked. Hang in there you will make it!
dont be mad lizzie your doing the best you can and we all understand that struggles! BIG TIME!
JUSt around our monthly visitors we can gain from bloat....
its hard
I know i had to loose pre op weight and it wasnt easy but i did it.
MY surgeon requires a 10 percent weight loss. HIS beleif is this
reduces the complication rate and it reduces the fatty liver for a
much safer lap surgery.
GOOD LUCK! i konw you can do it!!!
First off dont be mad at yourself. It happens to everyone espically pre op...Its a scary feeling however try to remember that after surgery you will be able to have many not all but many of the same foods you have now, just in moderation and much smaller serving sizes. I know we get it in our heads that we will never be able to eat like a normal person again and that sends us into an eating frenzy before surgery. Just do your best to focus of the good stuff, try getting into a routine now of eating better and it will just help you later on. Are you going to be able to do it every day, NO but try to do it as much as you can. The healthier you are going into surgery , the eaier the surgery is for the surgeons and the easier the recovery for you after surgery. We are here for you ..hang in there. Its a tough road but one so worth traveling.

Lizzie,
Hun first off forgive yourself and move forward, that is one thing I have learned and still learning that we have to be easy on ourselves and understand we are relearning all these new things and it will take TIME.
I know it takes a while for the body to catch up both gaining and losing at times so make sure you do what you should be and it will work!!
I know giving up diet soda was hard for me but I did it for a while and after my pouch healed I have some now but try to keep it limited and try the non caffeine Diet Coke. That will be my struggle forever I am sure but worth it for the lose of the weight!
Please keep us posted! I wish you all the best!
