what am I to expect
Probably. 40 lbs pre-op is fantastic. Your body is recovering from the surgery. It's only been two weeks. Once your doctor says its OK, you can start a daily routine to include exercise which will allow the weight to fall off. Remember that sugars, breads and potatoes cause your insulin levels to rise, which tells your body to store fat. That's why any diet which lowers glucose levels works. There are hidden sugars in condiments such as ketchup and barbeque sauce. You will begin to feel better soon.

First off congrats on the 40 pounds pre op and congrats on having the surgery. Our bodies all react to this in different ways, and we all loose at diffrent rates. Hang in there. As long as you follow your surgeons plan you will see the weight will come off. Keep us posted and keep your chin up, you are doing great.
