I AM NEW AND NEED SOME HELP REGADING THROID NODULES

Hi my name is lori and I am new. I am hoping to have surgery I just finished up with all the docs I went to the endocronologist and he sent me for a thyroid sono I have some nodules and one is a solid semi large one. Has anyone ever had this and did it effect getting the surgery . I have not got any of the bloodwork back yet. I am very nervous. And hope this does not change any thing.
