Bruising around my lower belly.???????????
I just had RNY laproscopic surgery on Tuesday January 30th, I just wanted to know if its normal to notice bruising settling across my stomach in the area of my belly button..I have had no pain meds since getting back to the floor after recovery....I was released from the hospital Thursday am......hubby and I went shopping on Friday, I went to an all day scrapbooking on Saturday........so you can see I have been doing great, just wanted to know if this was normal?
Congratulations
.........Thanks for the info I also had a blood thinner so that is probably what it is. Its not excessive and the sites do not hurt at all so I didn't think too much could be going on...... I am so happy for you how are you doing with your eating , jello etc. doing okay with everything? I can't wait to chew real food........so far the diet I am on from my program is super soft, jello, strained soup etc. That is what I think I miss the most. I must be" patient" I promissed my surgeon I would be his poster child!!!!!

Hi there. It is normal to have some bruising. Your body was just put through alot. If the brusing is or gets excessive call your surgeon and have it checked out. I had lots of bruising however i have a platlet disorder so it was expected for me. COngrats on the surgery.......and welcome to the loosers side..

Thank you for the info..........the bruising isn't excessive and there is no tenderness or redness around the sites so it must be normal, I really enjoyed reading your profile and looking at the pictures of you and your beautiful family. I just get so amaized at the difference with before and after pictures.......It seems so far away but I know it will be difficult to keep up with all the changes that will be happening so quickly over the next year. I can't wait to have that experience too.
