Hiding the Scale - Still Stalled!
Well, its been almost 4 weeks now and I continue to stay stalled......I've increased my protien, exercise & water and still STUCK! If the ground wasn't frozen, I go outside and bury the damn scale....Can't tell I'm FRUSTRATED! My surgery was on 12/5 and I lost 27 pounds since then and 25 before surgery, so I know I'm down over 50 but it's not helping my head any. Maybe I should bring the scale outside and it can FREEZE...
Thanks for Listening.
Peggy
Oh sweetie!
There is likely a very good reason for it! Over 50 pounds is phenomenal. I am so sympathetic to your frustration. I've had soooo many plateaus since I started this journey...I was not one of those people who lost all their weight in 3 months...Your body has been through the ringer since December and this is a very taxing process, especially on your kidneys. Have you spoken to Dr Alger? Have you had any recent bloodwork done? Are you having any unusual symptoms (fatigue, nausea, back pain, dizziness, etc). Sometimes the body just has to do what it will do. Once I thought I was stalling, and in fact, it was just that the weight loss slowed down, but I had, in fact been losing when I really looked at dates and numbers. Hang in. Keep doing what you know is right. Call me and let's chat!
Damn scale!!!

(PS: Gorgeous pic of you! You look mahvelous!)
Hi Peggy
Don't worry about the stalls. It happens from time to time. Your weight loss has to give your body a chance to catch up. My advice....GET RID OF THE SCALE or you will drive yourself nuts. I only weigh myself when I go to Support Group.
I was post-op week 5-10 and lost nothing, then all of a sudden, it just fell right off. Don't fret........
