OK - need some help here with this Protien thing. Dr. Alger says I should be taking in roughly 50 grams of protien a day. I'm 7 weeks post-op. Protien shakes are not doing it for me - they make me gag! Seems as though I read somewhere that there is a protien powder that you can put in your food that has no taste or smell (you know the gag thing!) to help boost your protien intake? Any suggestions? Thanks Peggy

I have to agree the protein drinks BLAH...I could never do them. What saved me post op were the stallone protein puddings. I got them at GNC. I love the banana thats my favorite but vanilla and lemon are also very good. Dont like the choloclate ... Nowdays i use the powder but only mixed in with my coffee. I can only use the Jay Robb brand all the others have a funny taste to me. Good luck! LisaMarie

Hiya tootse, I have used a protein powder called UNJURY. They have an unflavored version. I mix it with low carb skim milk, frozen banana and a packet of splenda. I tried a million different ones before I found and liked this one. Here's some info: http://www.unjury.com/reg/unflavored.shtml Click on the 'How to buy' icon in the upper right hand corner to purchase. I think they sell samples of the stuff so you can check in out in smaller quantities before you buy it. xox Amy
