Wish me luck---

I am heading into the hospital right now... for a STAT upper GI.. i can't keep anything down.. I had a sip of water at 7 and was throwing up within the hour... This is the only time that I can think of that I am really hoping that they do find something.. if they don't then I don't know what I am going to do... please send me some good thoughts... Sounds like a stricture to me...but I am just guessing. Many of my friends have had similar symptoms and it turned out to be a stricture, which was fixed during the Endoscopy. Then again, your Surgeon is ordering an Upper GI and not an endoscopy. Please keep us posted; prayers are with you. -Karen

thanks for the responses... the radiologist up here says that the barium is going through fine... so he called the scan "normal".. i'm not totally convinced since liquid can usually find its way through things unless it is totally blocked... I am waiting for my surgeon to give me a call back to see where we go from here... don't know if he'll order an endoscopy or not.. he is 3 hours away from me so i can't just run over and talk to him.... jenny
