How's this for a WOW moment!!
Hello everyone.
First and foremost, let me wish you all a very happy, healthy and WLSuccessful year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that your wishes and resolutions for this year will all come to fruition.
Now, now...I know I have been missing for a long-LONG-time. But believe me, I do come by and read on everyone's progress (almost) everyday. I just haven't been up to talking about what's going on with my life.
However, I decided to come out of hiding and share this fabulous moment with you all...no, it's not about me, though. It's about my hubby.
My DH had a follow up visit, about 10 days ago, with our surgeon (whom he had not seen since his previous appointment back in August '06). While he was waiting his turn in the seating area, the doctor came out calling for other patients about 3 times. My hubby says that the surgeon very politely acknowledged him and waved, although, not in a very familiar way. My hubby didn't make anything of it and continued to wait.
When the surgeon finally called for him (my hubby) and saw "him" getting up, DH said that our beloved surgeon opened his eyes so widely
in disbelief, and said, "Mr. Solana? Is that you? You look terrific!"
Now, if this wasn't a wow moment, I don't know what could be! My DH said that while chatting with our surgeon in the office upon his check up, the doc even said to my hubby, "Mr. Solana, I have to be honest with you. I didn't recognize you sitting out there in the lobby."
I don't think the surgeon expected my hubby to lose 210 lbs in his first year! (his surgiversary was 12/21.) How's this for a wow moment! I'm so proud of my DH, he's only 42lbs from his personal goal (as of today, he has lost 215lbs and is down to 227)--that's only 27lbs to our surgeon's goal.
Thank you for allowing me to share with you all...
Blessings!
Dolly

Hey Marla!!!
Thanks!
How are you doing, hun? Hope your holidays were wonderful.
Not sure whether or not we'll make it to next week's meeting. I'm going away the week of the 22nd and work will probably be
next week; especially, since I'm having a colonoscopy on the 15th and will be off from work that day (still trying to figure out what's wrong with my tailbone and the pain I've had for over 4 months now).
Take care...
