We are planning our CU
Me and Chris have started to plan our Civil Union. In NJ, we can start getting licenses on Feb. 20th. We are not doing it right away. I want to have a reception and want to do it somewhat like a wedding. After 16 years we can finally proclaim our love in front of family and friends.
My one rule.....I need to have my WLS first! So we just started looking at the number of people and our budget, etc. This is going to be soooooooooooooo much fun.
So, any pointers for planning a "wedding"?

Congrats on your upcoming commitment/civil union! This must be really exciting for you and your partner. Anyway, here's a website that has tons of info for planning. I used to live in West Hollywood, CA where civil unions between same sex couples is legal and very common and have been to several gay weddings myself and I have seen some extravagent celebrations and some low-key intimate ones, all of which were beautiful. I'm sure you can get some ideas here.

Rachelle....
Congrats to you and your SO..... Planning a wedding can be lots of fun... When my hubby and I got married I used the www.Theknot.com They have lots of useful tools on that site. Just remember... It is the union that counts...don't let all of the fluff take over. Have fun planning and don't let it get stressful!
Hugs...

That would be fantastic! Thanks Christine. That's quite cheap for a photographer. My email is [email protected]
