Hi Lizzie, My name is Betsy. I am currently going through the program with Dr. O'Malley. I had my last nutrition appt today. When you go for your seminar, take your questions. They are great about answering them. You do get handouts that you will need. I have lost weight already just following them. I saw Andrea for my nutrition appts. She is very nice. She told me today that my paper work will be submitted and it will probably take between 2-4 weeks to get my appt with the Dr. (They also have to contact my insurance company for approval too). Not sure how long after all that. We will see. I hope some of this was helpful to you. Best wishes, Betsy

Lizzie, Happy New year to you too!!! I also had my surgery done with Dr.Boss.The nutritionist I had was a stickler. I never knew what exactly she wanted or expected from me.Of course that was my fault b/c if I wasn't sure what she wanted me to do,I should have asked her to be more clear.I don't remember her name but it was not Andrea.Let me just tell you that she wanted to see what I ate, How much I ate,Where I ate and how long it took me to eat it.So when you make your journal,be perscise.Make all good choices.I think I was being to honest about what I ate and she wasn't looking for honesty. She taught me nothing about after the surgery.I did lose wieght every time I went.On my 3rd visit she said she saw no problem in releasing my approval on my next visit;then when I had my 4th visit she said I needed one more, and it took 2 more months to get that last appiontment!!! Anyway I finally got thru it! I was waiting for them to call me for my app. with Dr.Boss and waiting.I waited 4 weeks and then called them only to find out that the shrinks office never faxed over my approval that I had 5 months prior. So keep on top of things.I guess All good things come to those who wait! The surgery went well and the staff at the hospital were great. They do have a support group at Highland.I'm not sure when.Just ask the nutritionist when you go.Best of luck and don't worry about how long it will take,I'm sure everything will fall into place.Darlene

Hi Darlene.... You must have had the same one that I did KATHY.. the nutritionist that was maybe 50 pounds soaking wet... hehehehe... she was very strict.. a good friend of mine had to go back a 3rd time to see her because she gained 3 pounds since the previous appointment.. I completely agree.. keep on top of things and make sure your paper trail makes it to where you need it to be... Jenny
