Food at the office is terrible. Food everywhere is terrible. I have no advice, my friend, I'm sorry to say, but only an ear of sympathy and another voice of aggravation against those who feel the need to bring leftover junk into the office. Hugs and kisses, Amy

Amy, Thanks hun for the support ~hugs~ I know others are just trying to get the stuff out of the house as well but we should all learn to through this stuff out or if it is unopened like some of the stuff was yesterday I gave it to someone here that has food for his church food pantry, this way it is not a loss! I still have problems throwing out closed food when others can use it. Thanks again hun Debra P

so you still are feeling temptations to eat these things? i thought the surgery makes it so you dont want to eat those things anymore. my surgery is february 15th and i'm having food withdrawal already, knowing that i wont be able to eat those things forever!!!!

Kim, Oh yes, you do and can eat these things again......that is what I thought as well but now I am 1 1/2 years out and can have some of those things that are really bad. The surgery is ONLY a tool to help you get there, it is NOT something that will stop you from eating these things forever. That is something that I thought at the beginning as well but that is not the case after a while out. At first you really do not crave these things but over time as your body heals itself you start the real struggle with dealing with WHY you eat! That is the hardest part of this whole thing! I would tell EVERYONE to see a phyc to find out why and the cause of why we eat the way we do. I really believe that if you do not deal with this issue you will never be really well and can gain weight back for sure. Debra P

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board having only made a few posts. I'm more of a reader but I thought I'd add to this funny discussion. We receive about four very large gift baskets every year. We're talking Godiva plus! Since my weight loss surgery was on November 14th and returned to work on December 5th all four baskets are right by my cubicle area. So... since I can't touch I just look! I examine all of the lovely treats and read the food labels out loud! (wash my hands afterwards) I also tell everyone oh look that one is a petri dish don't touch. It's full of germs (just think everyone's hands dig into the treats)! Geez just to think I used to eat that stuff last year just about every hour. WLS 11/14 PREOP 215 POST as of January 3 I'm 175 down 40 pounds.
