Britt~ save your money buy generic vits, as long as labs are ok, I use walmart brand of centrm one a day $9 for 300!!! I use citrical for 2 doses of my calcium and upcald for the other 2 doses 9500mg ea so 2000mg total a day) I use ferrous gluconate 300mg tabs 1 day with vit c 500mg gneric at walmart 46 for bottle of 100 iron and vit c is so cheap i can not rmember my sublingual b12/complex is 60 doses for A$6 and is walmart brand also (SPringvalley I think it is called) at 4 yrs out my labs are perfect! AND I HAVE MORE MOENY vs those that buy those expensive designer bariatric vits, there is no such thing as a bariatric vit really we all ned a good multi and calcium and b12 then build from there based on labs, I stopped chewables at 1 month out if u can swallow go to an adult!!! Hugs Jamie

Thank you for all of your wonderful input! I guess it is kind of like what I went through with protein drinks ... I have to keep on trying until I find one that I can deal with. I will save money and buy generic for sure! hugs, Britt

Hi Britt First of all, you don't have to take waht your surgeons recommend. Any vitamin will work. I used a vitamin called OPTISOURCE. It is a vitamin especially made for bariatric patients. A chewable orange take one four times a day. You can buy them at Walgreens or www.walgreens.com One month supply is 25.00 My blood work is good. I don't need anything else. It has been for a white. Then I take a straight calcium citrate which we need 1200-1500 grams a day. helps prevent osteperosis at a later age. I get those from bariatric advantage. they have flavored chewables. Hope this helps............ Marie

I take 2 Calcium Citrate Petites in the am, and two in the pm. I take Biotin every morning - I think it's 5000mcg. I take a sub-lingual B-12, I think it's Sundown brand, I buy it when it's buy one get one free. I hate the taste of the B-12 so I counter it by taking 2 Scooby Doo fizzy vites [my surgeon actually recommended Flintstones chewable's] at the same time. The tartness of the fizzy vits kills the B-12 taste. I also take Milk Thistle twice a day for liver function. My labs are great, I didn't lose any hair at all either and I have gotten ONE non-major cold in 10 months [recently]. xosm
