Hi guys - I don't know about you but at 6.5 weeks out ... I'm getting kinda sick of an egg for breakfast. I was in the cereal Isle last night at the grocery store and found a cereal that has 13 grams of protein It is Kashi go lean with milk you add even more protein. SERVING size 1 cup calories 140 total fat 1 g = 2% cholesterol 0mg sofium 85mg= 4% potassium 480 mg =14% carbohydrates 30 g = 10% dietary fiber 10 =40% protein 13 grams = 20% I thought i'd share Hugs, Britt

Britt, That's great. I have Kashi on my list, but haven't dared try it yet. What does it taste like? Can you compare it to another cereal?

Britt~ I used to eat Kashi(preop) and liked it, but yes very dry and kind of 'twiggy', Now I tend to avoid cereal, especially in am it sets me up for carb cravings, even though it has good fiber the 30g in cereal and 13g carbs in 1 cup milk can really make me *a carb sensitive person* dump or crave in 1 hr or so, plus cereal/milk is not a pouch satisfier, its a mushie/soft caloried thing that smply washes thru the pouc/defeating the tool by a few months out for many, so ability to eat a lot of it and not get full is concerning to some. But may work for some so thanks for posting! Another idea may be 1/4 c of this in a low carb yogurt it may expand and stick around longer and be a crunch that many miss! How r u doing dear? I have to be very careful with that cereal. IT really causes me alot of gas. AND that early out it would have caused me bloat and pain. SO just be careful with it. We all react different. I know for me breakfast alternatives for me was a lowfact cottage cheese w/ soy nuts mixed in, protein shakes, egg cheese and much later out i had the south beach breakfast wraps....! ALl the best for a wonderful holiday Britt

Kashi & I are great friends!! I've entered the wonderful world of Kashi! There's Go Lean, Go Lean Crunch, Go Lean Creamy (vanilla is the best!), Ka****LC bars, oh the list goes on!!! Good luck with it. I didn't try Kashi until I was about 4 months out because I was so afraid of what cereal would do to me. I could only eat half a serving (1/2 cup) of the Go Lean Crunch. Now, I can eat a full serving dry or part of a serving with milk. Good luck with it, Britt! Jen Halliday
