Dr Posner / Forbes anybody???? Buffalo General Hospital....

! had a 4 hour appointment with the Buffalo General Bariatric staff Dec 11... I am down 3#!!! I have my next dietician appointment with Jeanne Jan 11; then meet with the surgeon Dr Posner on March 1st... if all is well then, then they decide a surgery date! I have to have a few tests... blood, urine, venous doppler and psych, get copies of the sleep study and the endoscopy I have already had sent to them... and of course am now on the South Beach diet! Guess I started off pretty good though, eh???? The staff was great... Brenda and Melissa are the office staff - very personable and helpful; Melodie is the nurse that takes my vitals etc... very lovely, she made me laugh and is very professional at the same time. Kimberly is the nurse practioner - very knowledgeable and went through everything with me and Louis, and then Katie the PT was great too... I had to walk on a treadmill 12 minutes then a strength and flexibility test. She showed me strength training exercises and as well encouraged me to do more aerobic - 3-4 times a week on top of my volleyball. I feel like I am in very capable hands!!! Erin

Dr Forbes did my surgery in August '05. My first weigh in, I was 305lbs. Scary. Today I weigh 180, so I'm doing great. I have definitely leveled out and the weight loss isn't automatic anymore, so I'm working hard to get the last 15-20 lbs off myself. They are a great staff and very helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. You're in good hands. Good luck
