Gas and stomach gurgles...
It's been a while since I posted. Manily because I've moved out of Brooklyn to seek a more "sane" and certainly less expensive life. But I do feel home here at the NY message (YEA NY) and I do miss NY terrribly! But I digress...
Okay, on to my post. I'll be 2 years post op as of May 2007. I am 6'2" and I've lost about 75 lbs with is about 30lbs heavier than my high school basketball playing, having gym class every day and the metabolism of a 17 year old...oh yeah, I was 17! Anyway, I have so much gas and stomach gurgles that it almost feels like it did when I first got out of surgery. Everytime I eat something (even very slowly chewing about 25-30times before swallowing). I belch excessively like a great big 'ol man!(no offense to great big 'ol men...I happen to like great big 'ol men
When I wake up in the morning and take a swallow of water, my stomach just growles and growles. It's not painful, just loud, uncomfortable and embarrassing! And the belching. Bad, very bad.
I will be going to the doctor on Wednesday, so hopefully we can find out what the heck is going on with me. But have any of you had this experience or know of anyone else who has?? Please advise.
Be well, be blessed
Karen

Hi Lisa:
Thanks for responding.
I do have acid reflux and have been taking Prevacid for sometime. I also take the GasX too and I have had little or no relief, so hopefully the doctor will be able to help.
I am in Delaware with my mom. She wasn't feeling well (and I know she was missing me) so I decided to move down here with her. It's not NY by any means, but I'm here for now anyway.
My doctor's appointment is tomorrow, so I'll let you all know what happened.
Thanks again for responding to my post
