Christmas baskets

Will Power- I do have will power, and i am very stong that way- But even Superman had kryptonite. Food is my kryptonite. It always was, it was a kryptonite I embraced for a good part of my life and even to a degree today. SOOOO my question: Would you send Superman kryptonite?? Then why on God's green earth would you send a recovering fat person, someone you know has had gastric bypass, a Christmas Basket filled with chocolates, crackers, cheese, cookies, and all kinds of (evil) goodness???? Well I opened the basket i received today and shared it with the office, but ultimately it ended up in the dumpster... or else it would have all been consumed (mainly by me) Let's get the word out this holiday season- PLEASE DO NOT SEND SUPERMAN KRYPTONITE, and let'snot send ENZO any CHRISTMAS BASKETS... WOW ENZO boy i agree 100 percent and love your post. I too feel food is my kryptonite! LAST christmas when i was only about 6 months post op i didnt understand my clients who knew i had surgery would give me holiday gifts and baskets filled with cookies, candies, smores you name it. DONT make sense to me either why people sent me krytonite knowing i was looseing weight and get healthy. I guess people just dont think!!! thanks

Ok now i know what not to send you for Chrismas ...lol..Now what do i do??? People can be so insensitive. To them its not an addiction for us its an issue they feel we should be able to handle. I mean you wouldnt send a recovering alcoholic a bottle of wine would you. People dont understand what we are going through. That or they just dont think. They figure the basket looks pretty. They should be arrested ! haha.. I am proud of you for sharing the basket with the office and then getting rid of the rest You have come a long way and worked to hard to let some chirstmas basket ruin you! Keep up the good work. Enzo, You are a natural writer and a very funny guy! That was the best post. I can so relate to your outrage, as I have a few co-workers who KNOW that I've had this surgery and KNOW that I can't eat crap, and keep insisting that I try their....christmas cookies, thanksgiving pies, chocolate whatever the f***'s and it really gets me ripped. Kryptonite be gone! And take your hellish carrier with you! BTW, I looked at your profile and the change in you is astonishing. You are gorgeous! Keep up the fabulous work. Take care, Amy
