Hello Everyone, I was approved for surgery!! I hopefully will be having it January 8th! I do have some questions.... I know someone who had bypass 2 years ago. She lost hair and it still has not grown back yet. She also looks very drawn out all the time. I have read people's profiles and everyone says that their hair does grow back but I never read anything about this. Are these normal situtations? I have asked this question before about the hair loss, that is a big thing for me. I do not want to lose my hair!! Any help would be great! Thanks, Tara

Tara, I know I lost mine about 4 months out but it is not as bad as I thought it would be, sure it gets thinner but so do you. It only looks like it is growing back now and I am 1 1/2 years out. There are things you can do to help it but it will still happen, it is just part of the process..... I wish you all the best! Debra P

You're going to lose your hair, that's a given! How much and the time frame you are looking at is up to you and genetics. I added flaxseed oil to my diet and some serious biotin and the hair loss seems to be getting less and less and i'm 6-1/2 months out. I'm not sure my hair is growing back or not but i'm comfortable with the hair i have so that's what's most important to me. Be Well, ANDI
