Hi, this is my first time posting.
Hi everyone. My name is Ying Lee. I've been a member of OH for about a year now but this is the first time I've ever posted anything. Its been a long hard road for me to get where I am today. I am proud to say I've made it this far. It wasn't until this past August that I started the process of weight loss surgery. Before then, I was on diets and pills to see if i could lose the weight. Obviously it didn't work. Well here I am today. I have almost everything done. Blood work, Ekg, stress tests, sleep study, physical, nutritionists visits. I have completed step 1 of a 3 step process in my psych eval. Steps 2 and 3 are on Monday and Wednsday. On the 21st of December, I meet with Dr. Kim again. If all goes well, I'll get approved. Everyone cross their fingers for me because this would the ultimate early Christmas present anyone could ask for. Thanks for thanking the time to read this. I appreciate any kind of suggestions or encouragements. I have a long road ahead.

Hi neighbor
I wanna invite you to attend our syracuse support group. We meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the hazard branch library on genesse st(next meeting Dec 5th ) feel free to email me if you have questions

Go Ying! That's wonderful news! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Do as much as you can to educate yourself about this surgery (I assume you're going to have the RNY gastric bypass?), and how to take care of yourself, and how to make this tool work for you long term. It's a long term commitment to a new way of life for sure, but if you're up for the change, and devoted to your health, it is a wonderful tool that has helped so many find success where there has only been failure.
Keep us posted. Ask lots of questions. Everyone here is so nice and so helpful.
Good luck and stay in touch!
Amy
