Coming to Manhattan!!
Hi everyone -
It's time for my annual Christmas trip to NYC (12/6-7). Since you're the experts on NYC, just thought I'd see what advice you could offer about where to eat.
On 12/6, we'll be having lunch at Carnegie Deli (a tradition).
Need a place in midtown/Times Square/theatre district for dinner that evening. I'd prefer to not eat at a chain. Our party also prefers it be American, since not everyone likes fusion, Chinese, etc. Maybe a steakhouse?
On 12/7 we'll be having an early dinner at Carmine's in the theatre district. Thanks to the great advice you gave last year, we tried it and loved it and want to go back.
It doesn't necessarily have to be wls friendly, because I usually don't have a problem finding some kind of protein. It doesn't have to be terribly cheap, either!
So there you have it, I'm easy, but certainly not cheap!!!!!
BTW, my Mom has asthma, so walking a great distance is not an option, and we're certainly not opposed to taking cabs, which is what we usually do.
Thanks, and happy holidays!!!!
Teresa
Hi Teresa,
One of my favorite places in Times Square is Virgils BBQ. Its not a fancy place but the food is good, quick, and a good deal for the money. They have a website, you can take a look and see what you think. Its on the 44th St right off Broadway.

Have a fun trip!
