RNY on December 7th

I am having RNY on December 7th with Dr. Fielding and i am so nervous. I am 25 years old and hope everything goes ok. The insurance approval and medical clearance finally went through. yesterday I started the liquid diet. I am having protein Slim Fast. I am just freaking out!-

Hi John! Congratulations on your insrance approval Decemeber 7th is right around the corner. I just had my surgery on 11/6 - I am doing great !! I was plesantly suprised at how good i felt each day. A week later I was out and about and didn't even need to take PAIN MEDICINE ...AMAZING! Positive thinking my friend ... YOU will be fine. Britt

ditto to what Britt said mine was NOv 20th and I am boggying along great my drains come out today and im on my way again life is good as a loser

what did you do for a pre-op diet? thanks

I was nit required to do any pre op diet. I only had to do a clear liquid diet the day before surgery. Every surgeon is different - you will see a wide range of answers.
