I am 4 days post op and I (along with my parents.. god bless them) walked 2x so far today.. about .5-.75 miles each time... i am really surprised at how much I can do since I have come home fromthe hospital... I will be staying here a couple more days but then I think that being waited on hand and foot will get old and my hubby/child will want me to come home........ Jenny

I've been having trouble sleeping the past few nights. (Long story) I woke up this morning in such a funk, that I convinced myself out of walking for the first time since surgery. I felt the reprocussions all day. Tomorrow is another day. 5:30 am, I'll be back on the treadmill. xoxo Aim

AMY~ ALthough I beleive in exercise most days of the week, I am working on balance continually, using the mindset of 90/10 it is what I do 90% of the time that matters. Forgiving self and being ok w/ the 10% is a challenge but as u said tomorrow u have a choice one w/more ammo to make differently than today! HUGS! Jamie, OK my goal over the next 4 days is to get walking with my family.... I can not use the treadmill since the queen sized blow up bed is going to be in the room with the walker but I am going to do my best to get outside and walk! Jamie thanks for posting this and keeping this in the front of our minds... Debra P

Deb: I like your 4 day goal! I have found learning to adapt my routine in times such as these is so important, challenging as it is easier not to adapt (such as when I recently use the excuse the other day my cats kept me up so I slept in and didn't go to the gym), instead I could of walked at lunch, or done a shorter workout.. it is good that we have choices. No perfection just progress! I like they way you are thinking today!
